Brian Sabina

Chief Economic Growth Officer

Brian Sabina is Chief Economic Growth Officer for the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA). 

In this role, Brian leads the Authority’s efforts around strategic sector development, real estate development, and infrastructure development.  Across these areas Brian is currently overseeing the development and construction of the NJ Wind Port, the creation of programs supporting the adoption of electric vehicles, and the launch of new innovation centers at New Jersey universities focused on fintech, sports wagering technology, and esports.

Brian also oversees the NJEDA’s jobs- and place-based tax credit programs, and the Authority’s venture, innovation, entrepreneurship, and clean energy programs.  As part of this work he is leading the effort to implement more than 15 new and redesigned programs created under the Economic Recovery Act of 2020.

Prior to joining the EDA, Brian worked at McKinsey & Company where he was a leader in the firm’s public sector and infrastructure practices. Prior to consulting, he was an entrepreneur in the education technology space.

Over the course of his career, Brian has worked with 20+ government agencies across 12+ countries, spanning the local, state/provincial, and federal levels.  

Brian holds an M.B.A and a Masters of Public Policy from the University of Chicago where he was a Wallman Scholar and earned a B.S. in Engineering from Northwestern University.
