Fred Cole currently serves as the EDA’s Senior Vice President of Business Support. 

Mr. Cole came to the Authority in 1994 as an Accountant for the Controller’s Group, where he managed the financials for EDA programs. He transitioned to the Information Technology Services department where he first served as a Systems Administrator and advanced to ITS Assistant Director. In 2007, Mr. Cole became the first Director of Internal Process Management, creating the initial framework for the department and ensuring the Authority’s compliance with required regulations. 

Prior to joining the EDA, Mr. Cole served as a Senior Auditor for Ernst & Young, LLP and KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP, coordinating audit engagements for various public, private and non-profit clients. He also served as a Staff Accountant at Withum, Smith, & Brown, PC where he conducted audits and prepared tax returns for federal and state corporate and individual tax clients. 

Mr. Cole earned a B.S. degree in Accounting from Rider University and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and a New Jersey Certified Public Accountant.
