TRAIN TO GAIN: LIFE SCIENCE FELLOWSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM

This September, the Delaware Valley Innovation Network (DVIN) will host a hands-on, three-week skills training program for recent science graduates known as “Train to Gain.” The program will provide graduates with “real workplace” experience and training at one of the DVIN region’s life sciences companies.

“Train to Gain” is designed to assist with the step in the life science career path from college to company. Fellowship companies will receive $3,000 to offset costs of training, and in return, will have a choice of candidates with associate degrees to Ph.D.s, depending on the company’s needs. The candidates will receive interim hands-on experience that will make recent science graduates better prepared for the region’s 21st century life science jobs.

To qualify as a Fellowship Host Company, a company must have a focus on life science, biology, chemistry, physics, bioengineering, or bioinformatics, and provide training at a company site in the DVIN region. The program will run from September to December.

Registration ends July 17, 2009. For additional details, please visit the Delaware Valley Innovation Network.
